It may be intuitive or it may be intentional. But the 6 steps they follow are real:<\/p>\n<p><strong>LEARN-EMPOWER-ASSESS-DECIDE-EVALUATE-REVIEW<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The fifth step in the leadership developmental process is EVALUATE:\u00a0know\u00a0how\u00a0and\u00a0when to evaluate the performance of the team as well as the individual members of the team\u00a0to ensure the vision, the goals and the team member\u2019s contributions are on track.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: -0px;\"><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Here are 6 things you can do to keep your team members on track:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"color: black; font-size: 15px;\">Point out the difference between the present situation and agreed upon expectations<\/li>\n<li style=\"color: black; font-size: 15px;\">Describe specifically the negative impact of the individual\u2019s performance<\/li>\n<li style=\"color: black; font-size: 15px;\">Ask the person for their view of the situation<\/li>\n<li style=\"color: black; font-size: 15px;\">Ask the individual for ideas on how the situation could be corrected, and then add your own if necessary<\/li>\n<li style=\"color: black; font-size: 15px;\">Agree on action plan for improvement and a date for follow-up<\/li>\n<li style=\"color: black; font-size: 15px;\">Express confidence that the individual can correct the situation<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<br \/>\nMonitoring the effectiveness of teamwork is also important. Effective leaders are aware of relationship strength and limitations amongst their team. Helping build positive relationships is a key responsibility for any leader.<\/p>\n<p>Evaluating\u00a0is an important step in the Leadership Development Process. But\u00a0Evaluating\u00a0in itself is not enough. In fact, going to a workshop, listening to a podcast or even receiving a degree in leadership does not guarantee a person can lead. I\u2019ve found that many people have knowledge but lack the experience of actually leading a team. Applying the knowledge and learning from success, as well as failure is critical in the developmental process.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The next step in the journey to develop as a leader is <\/strong><strong>REVIEW:\u00a0review the progress, people and success of a project.
